Land Clearing FAQs

What happens to all the brush and debris?

Most of it is chipped on site and hauled away the same day, so you're not left with piles to burn or drag to the curb. If you'd like to keep the wood chips as mulch, just tell us and we'll leave them. Any burning is only ever done where it's legal and permitted for the property — we won't assume it for you.

Do you grind or pull the stumps too?

Small saplings and brush are cut flush or pulled as part of clearing. Larger stumps left from bigger trees are handled with our stump grinding service, which we can fold into the same estimate so it's one job instead of two trips.

Will the equipment tear up the ground I'm keeping?

That's exactly why we lean on a compact mini skid steer instead of a full-size dozer for most residential work. Its light footprint lets us clear brush and move material without chewing up a finished lawn or the areas you want protected.

Do I need a permit to clear my property?

It depends on your town and whether any part of the area is a regulated buffer, floodplain, or HOA-controlled space — the rules aren't the same from one municipality to the next. If we spot anything that looks regulated during the walk-through, we'll flag it so you can confirm with your town or HOA before we start. We'd rather raise it early than clear something we shouldn't.

How long does a clearing job take?

It comes down to the size of the area and how dense it is. Many residential clearing and lot-prep jobs wrap in a day or two; we give you a realistic timeline as part of the estimate so there are no surprises.
